The General assembly is the supreme organ composed of all the representatives of all the founder member organizations. The Executive committee (The Board) is elected by the general assembly. The board, provides administration &  management guidelines.

The board establishes the Executive secretariat headed by the Executive Director who  implements & manages day-to-day activities/projects of the WASHNETRWANDA and reports to  the Board. The Executive Director manages all employees and reports to the board.

The board reports to the general assembly. The Board, Audit Committee & the Conflict Resolution Committee are all independent Organs of WASHNETRWANDA, elected by the general assembly to which they all report.

Although the Executive Director reports to the Board, Audit committee and Conflict resolution committee, can directly ask for accountability from the Executive Director without necessarily being permitted by the Board.

POLICY ADVOCACY: Without water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services, people  &wellbeing, dignity and opportunities are severely compromised, particularly women and girls.

Access to water and sanitation are human rights. Hygiene knowledge and facilities are life- saving and highly cost-effective health interventions.

To promote advocacy efforts, WASHNETRWANDA does this as a strategy to manage and share knowledge to change and/or influence WASH policies and practices that affect people’s lives and bring about WASH positive change in Rwanda. This includes raising awareness at the grassroots level and with key influencers, creation or requesting to reformation of WASH policies, and encouraging the effective implementation of those policies and for effective partnerships, adequate WASH funding, and long-term sustainability of WASH development outcomes, and for effective implementation of the SDGs (#6).

Research: For purposes of influencing the formal and informal WASH policies established by policymakers and others in power, it is important to collect factual information and present it in a compelling manner.
